Job Postings

Careers in the nonprofit sector can be extremely rewarding. We like to say that you can do well and do good at the same time. Nonprofits throughout Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana post their job openings with us.

Check out the Jobs page

CNPE members can post an unlimited number of jobs with us. Nonmembers can post jobs for $100 each. (Note that, for many nonprofits, it is cheaper to join CNPE than to pay for two job postings.)

Top Ten CNPE Resources Requested by Nonprofits

These are the ten most requested documents our clients ask us for. They address how to orient and engage board members, what board members’ jobs actually entail, and how major committees and volunteers should be managed. We also included policies on conflicts of interest and whistleblowers that your nonprofit organization may want to adopt.

Note that these are all Microsoft Word documents. When you click on a document name, that document will download to your local computer or other device.

  1. Board Mentors – A Strategy for Engaging New Board Members
  2. Board Orientation – Binder Contents
  3. Board Orientation Sample Agenda
  4. Committee Charters
  5. Conflict of Interest Acknowledgment and Disclosure
  6. Conflict of Interest Policy
  7. Document Retention Policy
  8. Sample Board Member Job Description and Commitment
  9. Volunteer Management Sample Documents
  10. Whistleblower Policy

Salary Data for Senior Nonprofit Roles

CNPE members get access to GuideStar compensation data for top nonprofit positions (CEO, CFO, COO) as well as staff roles. You can send a request here. (Note: We may need up to five business days to pull the data you need.)

Grant Writers

Need help writing those important grant requests? CNPE recommends that you check the Consultant Directory of the Kentucky Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association.

Foundation Directory (Grants)

Surprisingly, 90% of the 241,000 foundations based in the United States do not have their own websites. To find them, CNPE recommends the Foundation Directory Online. This site can help you identify foundations and other funders specific to your mission. This is a fee-paid site, with rates starting at $50 monthly for their “FDO Essential” service.

GrantStation is another option for searching for foundations, charging $169 annually for access to its database. GrantStation also has an excellent online glossary of grant terms.

Also see CNPE’s Corporate Directory for a list of foundations that are CNPE members.

Topical Resources

  • Anti-Racism/DE&I Resource List

CNPE started curating its Anti-Racism/DE&I Resource List in mid-2020 in response to the racial reckoning that was taking place not only in Louisville but around the country. These resources are devoted to helping nonprofits and their leaders to better understand, address, and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) within their organizations.

BoardMatch

This is a separate CNPE site requiring a separate login. It matches individuals with a desire to serve as a director or committee member with nonprofits seeking their particular skills.
